Chemical Engineer with 36 years of diverse experience in the upstream oil and gas industry. Possesses an International Diploma in Safety Management from the British Safety Council. Made significant contributions in the development and maintenance of HSE ethos in offshore operations of ONGC. Carried out pioneering work in ONGC for the introduction of ISO-based HSE Management system and various best in industry systems and procedures. Was associated in the development of the first safety Rules for Offshore hydrocarbon industry in India which were introduced in 2008. Has been actively involved in policy & system development, knowledge dissemination, audits, and investigations. Worked on special international assignments for troubleshooting and showcasing ONGC’s preparedness with respect to effective HSE Management.
