Currently, he is working as a Senior Scientist and Head (Organic Building Materials Group) at CSIR-CBRI, Roorkee, India. He is currently pursuing his PhD at IIT Delhi. His areas of interest are statistical modelling, Sustainable Building Products, Multi-attribute optimization technique, Cement/Clinker Synthesis, Stone waste utilization, Lightweight Concretes, Low Carbon Cement/Limestone Calcined Clay Cement, Low Energy/CSAB cement, Stabilized mud composite, and Portland limestone cement. He is an active member of ICI, RILEM, IEI etc. He has over 25 technical research papers published in SCI/Scopus indexed journals and prestigious international conferences. He has been involved in R&D projects on "waste utilization" at CSIR-CBRI, where he has made significant contributions to technology transfer on low-grade limestone waste. India's first start-up plant for low-grade limestone waste management; recognised by the Central and State governments (under Start-up Policy-2017, Waste to Wealth and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan), was inaugurated in 2018. The plant has the capacity to manufacture 8,000 flooring tiles, 3,500 rough pavers and 5,000 bricks daily from the slurry. It can use up to 100 tonnes of low-grade limestone waste per day. He is also an active reviewer of various SCI-indexed journals. Prime importance is to do societal problem-based R&D; so that ordinary people can benefit.
